چکیده
Silvopastoral system (SPS) has been considered as a sustainable management contribute to greenhouse gas (GHG) reduction, among other benefits compared with open pasture. However, little research conducted on the soil and tree biomass carbon stored in traditional pasture dispersed trees (PWT) monoculture (PM). The present study was Ecuadorian Amazon Region (EAR), along an elevational gradient from 400 2000 masl., within buffer transition zone of Sumaco Biosphere Reserve (SBR), using 71 temporary circular plots 2826 m2, where 26 were stablished PWT 45 PM. main results show significant differences (p ≤ 0.01) between aboveground (AGCtrees) 41.1 (lowlands), 26.5 (Middle hills) 16.7 (high mountains) Mg ha−1 respectively, average 31.0 whole area. total pool altitudinal five components: (AGCtrees), belowground (BGCtrees), (AGClitter+pasture) components (0–10 10–30 cm) for ranged 112.80 (lowlands) 91.34 ha−1; while PM systems assessing three 52.5 77.8 (middle zone) ha−1. Finally, paper shows dominant species that storage concludes recommendations decision-making aimed at improving cattle ranching through silvopastoral approach mitigate effects climate change.

The existence of a unimodal or monotonic pattern in species richness and diversity along an elevational gradient: a case study in Heydari Wildlife Refuge, NE Iran
This article presents an analysis of plant species richness and diversity, concerning some climatic variables along a 1500-m elevation gradient on the Binalood Mountain in Heydari Wildlife Refuge (HWR), northeastern Iran. Two hundred and thirteen nested-sampling quadrats were established and the abundance of the plants was recorded. Vegetation sampling was carried out from 2014 till 2016, foll...

The study of plant communities is the best way to learn about vegetation structure and distribution as well as various interactions among the plants in an ecosystem. Elevation factor plays a vital role in plant distribution that ultimately leads to specific phytogeographic regions. This study evaluated the changes in species composition, density, frequency, canopy cover and palatability of spec...
متن کاملA phylogenetic comparative study of flowering phenology along an elevational gradient in the Canadian subarctic.
Climate change is affecting high-altitude and high-latitude communities in significant ways. In the short growing season of subarctic habitats, it is essential that the timing and duration of phenological phases match favorable environmental conditions. We explored the time of the first appearance of flowers (first flowering day, FFD) and flowering duration across subarctic species composing di...
متن کاملA Complex Metacommunity Structure for Gastropods Along an Elevational Gradient
The metacommunity framework integrates species-specific responses to environmental gradients to detect emergent patterns of mesoscale organization. Abiotic characteristics (temperature, precipitation) and associated vegetation types change with elevation in a predictable fashion, providing opportunities to decouple effects of environmental gradients per se from those of biogeographical or histo...
